James Warren, PE

A Professional Electrical Engineer, James has over 25 years of data center design and construction experience. As co-founder of kW MCE, his vision was to create a firm where approachable engineers simply focus and collaborate on smart design, provide responsive client service, and dedicate expertise to the growing data center industry. James believes that if you hire the best people and give them a great place to work—where they can develop their career—you will produce great projects. Ten years ago, kW was launched with a mantra of “Great people. Great places. Great projects. ”Along with project involvement, James enjoys supporting clients with peer reviews and technical consulting. He remains passionate about increasing data center knowledge for all employees through oversight and curriculum development for kW’s Mission Critical Education (MC Ed) program. Promoting accessible, open communication, is second nature to this active father of four young adults. In his free time, James enjoys traveling, boating, skiing, and just about any other outdoor sporting activity.
